Let's face it...you probably haven't given boxes much thought, until now! Now you need to find the right style box for your product. Whether it's for shipping protection or packaging that will make your product stand out from the crowd, you're just now realizing that there are so many options out there. Which one is right for you?
Here are some options that might help..........
There are several wall thicknesses of corrugated as is shown in the picture above.
Boxes are ordered Length x Width x Depth (or Height)
You'll find just SOME of the different styles corrugated boxes can be configured to fit your product.
This is an RSC Box.
This style is the most used style in corrugated boxes. The flaps meet in the middle on the top and bottom. If you want the flaps to fold over each other completely, then it would be called an FOL box. If you want the flaps to fold over each other only partially, it would be called a POL box.
This is a One-Piece Folder.
It's used alot for shipping books and flat items.
This is a Die Cut Box known as a Suitcase.
A cutting die is required.
This is a Half-slotted Container.
It's also known as an HSC. It only has flaps on one side.
This is a 5-Panel Folder.
This box comes unjoined, and flat. It's often used for large and/or heavy items as it is easier to wrap the box around the product as opposed to lifting the product into the box.
This is an Auto-Lock Box.
It requires a cutting die. The Auto-Lock allows you to "pop open" the box, and the bottom will already be folded for you. Then you just tuck in the lid.
